Beginning 1 October 2026 all individuals 16 or older MUST log into their iSportsman account and use the Checkin/out feature to access or recreate within Coastal Restriction Areas (CRAs), dove fields, campsites, Jackson North Management Unit (MU), Jackson South MU, and Sikes MU. Failure to do so may result in recreation permit suspension.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- Customers MUST check the Public Access Map (PAM) and abide by all temporary area closures prior to attempting to checkin. Checking into a PAM closed area will result in recreational permit suspension for Closed Area trespass. Click HERE to view the current PAM.
- Customers must have a current background check, UXO Safety Briefing viewing validation, and a current recreation permit of any type to see checkin/out options.
- Checkin/out options are tied to the type of recreation permit a customer holds.
- Example 1: Customers with a camping permit will see a checkin/out option for camping, but only for the campsite and days specified on the camping permit.
- Example 2: Customers who have a Fishing/Recreation Permit will not see any options to checkin/out for any type of hunting.
- Example 3: Only customers with a CRA permit will see options to checkin/out of CRAs.
- Customers may checkin beginning 2 hours prior to sunrise and must checkout within 2 hours post sunset for MOST activities.
FAILURE TO CHECKOUT WILL RESULT IN THE FOLLOWING:
- iSportsman will automatically check you out, but will then place a 72-hour hold on your account which prohibits you from accessing any portion of the Reservation during that 72-hour period. It also prohibits you from purchasing any new recreation permits. You should receive an automatic email from iSportsman notifying you of the failure to checkout and account hold. After 72 hours the hold will be automatically lifted.
- Multiple failures to checkout may result in recreational access suspension up to 6 months.
