Forestry Products Permits
Anyone >= 16 YOA needs an Eglin permit and photo ID while on the Eglin reservation.

  1. Please verify you have the correct permit(s) in your cart Items BEFORE proceeding to check-out.  Before selecting the make payment button on the check-out screen please re-verify you have the correct permit(s) you intend to purchase.  Credit card permit sale refunds take weeks and weeks to process the paperwork through pay.gov..
  2. Permits are non-transferable.
  3. Permits are valid for 365 days from the time of issue, unless otherwise noted on the permit.  
  4. Each person seeking a permit MUST have their own iSportsman account.  Individuals cannot share an account to purchase permits. 
  5. All permits purchased will have the account holder's name populated on the requested permit.

Individual Forestry Permits
Eglin permits fees are for both residents & non-residents​​

Firewood Permit .......... $10.00

Authorizes the removal of 1/4 of a cord of wood (a standard pickup truck bed holds approximately 1/4 cord).  The permit is valid for three days from the time of issue.   This permit does not authorize any other form of recreational activities.

Sand Pine Christmas Tree Permit .......... $5.00

Authorizes the removal of one sand pine. The permit is valid for three days from the time of issue.  This permit does not authorize any other form of recreational activities.

Pine Straw Permit .......... $5.00

Authorizes removal of up to one standard pickup truck bed full of pine straw.  The permit is valid for three days from the time of issue.  This permit does not authorize any other form of recreational activities.

Palmetto Fronds Permit .......... $1.00

Authorizes removal of up to one standard pickup truck bed full of palmetto fronds.  The permit is valid for three days from the time of issue.  This permit does not authorize any other form of recreational activities.

Deer Moss Permit .......... $1.00

Authorizes removal of up to one standard pickup truck bed full of deer moss. The permit is valid for three days from the time of issue.  This permit does not authorize any other form of recreational activities.

Commercial Forest Product Permits *

Firewood Permit .......... $300.00

Authorizes unlimited harvest of trees permissible to harvest.  This permit does not authorize any other form of recreational activities.  Not available through iSportsman, please come to the Eglin Natural Resources Office during business hours to obtain this permit. 

Palmetto Berries Permit .......... Available by Bid
