Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo

When:  20 - 21 April 2024
Where:  Anderson Pond Recreatoin Area (see map below)
Who:  Youth up to 15 years of age (with supervising adult)
 

This event is sponsored by Eglin AFB's Jackson Guard Natural Resources Office, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission.  The Eglin Reservation Fishing Rodeo is a special opportunity event allowing youth (15 years of age and under) to fish for stocked channel catfish at Anderson Pond. 

Youth participants and supervising adult(s) are NOT required to hold an Eglin recretion permit to participate in this event, but must RSVP to reserve a slot.  Time slots are noted below and interested parties should call the Natural Resources Office at (850) 882-4165 or 4166 to RSVP. NOTE:  We do not begin taking reservations for this event until 08 April 2024. 

There are three time slots at 7:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M., 11:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M., and  3:30 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. on both Saturday and Sunday.  Each time slot has room for 25 youth participants and one accompanying adult.
